Week 2

With the groups now fully assigned positions and a band, at the beginning of the week we met a representative of the band named Ian who is one of the musicians of our as yet unnamed band. He gave us details about the bands set up, about the 4 musicians and 3 female singers as well as there chosen song which is thought to be "Single Ladies" by Beyonce but is not yet confirmed. This was a great time to take the opportunity to do a question and answer session about the band and the direction they wish to be taken.

Q. What does the band wish to achieve from the video?
Q. What genre is the type of music you play?
Q. Where do you see the band taking the music video that we produce?
Q. What does the band consist of, vocally and instrumentally?
Q. Who is your target audience?
Q. As you are a new band what songs will you be playing?
Q. Is there anything you would like us to take into account when making the music video?
Q. What bands/ music videos have you/ do you take inspiration from?

After we had met our bands representative, each member was given an area of research to undertake and mine was to research suitable locations. Plus as Director i am to make it my own responsibility to research the original song by Beyonce, its video and director, obtain a lyrics sheet and sheet music to add timings and to hopefully find a copy of the original storyboard.

We discussed some possible filming dates with Ian whilst he was around and made the offer s to film on the 04th of January, 07th of January, 11th of January and 16th of January. We made these offers of dates which were convenient for the groups so that the band could choose a date that best suits them. A location is yet to be found but as no conformation has been given as to the song so i don't want to rush into finding locations too prematurely.
