Week 3

In the third week of production we were given 2 hour long lessons to learn about lighting. Our teacher gave the class a masterclass in lighting techniques and essential lessons and rules and regulations. Here is a brief outline of what was taught:

- Natural and Artificial light

- Technical terminology for a lighting rig

- Three Point lighting; Key light, Fill light and Backlight

- Do's and Don'ts for using the lighting rig. 

To be able to use the lighting equipment supplied by the school you must first achieve a lighting certificate by showing your competence of using the rig to out teacher. As Zoe's responsibility is the technical aspects of the production i believe it would be paramount for her to gain the certificate so on the day of filming all lighting and cameras are under her control. However for the production of the value added material on the DVD it will require another of the groups members to achieve this. 

As nothing about the band has been confirmed by the producer as to what song the band will be playing for their video it is difficult to begin the process of storyboarding. Although i had texted Molly on 7th December i am yet to receive a reply confirming. Although i have an idea brewing it is yet to take to paper because of these restrictions
